Oil seal knowledge:

1. A skeleton oil seal consists of three parts: the seal body, a reinforcing frame, and a self-tightening coil spring. The seal body is further divided into different sections: the base, waist, cutting edge, and sealing lip.
2. When the seal is installed on the seal seat and shaft, the pressure from the seal cutting edge and the contraction force of the self-tightening coil spring exert a certain radial tightening force on the shaft. After a period of operation, this pressure rapidly decreases or even disappears. Therefore, the addition of a spring can compensate for the self-tightening force of the oil seal at any time.
3. Skeleton oil seals prevent lubricating oil leakage and are typically used on rotating shafts.
